WA: Barnett expected to announce he is ready to stand
Former West Australian opposition leader COLIN BARNETT has called a press conference
.. at which he's expected to announce his intention to return to the job.
Mr BARNETT led the Liberal Party to the last state election in 2005 .. and is favoured
to replace TROY BUSWELL following his resignation from the position yesterday.
It's been reported that senior Liberal members met at the weekend to discuss reinstalling
Mr BARNETT as leader.
The press conference will be held at 11.30am (WST).
