NSW: Population of Sydney suburbs to jump: lift
SYDNEY, April 6 AAP - Some Sydney suburbs will have their populations double or even
quadruple in just 25 years, a study shows.
The Daily Telegraph has obtained a state government study that predicts Camden's population
will increase by 390 per cent to about 250,000 people in 2036.
Liverpool will have the second biggest boom, almost doubling to 324,000, and Burwood
will grow by almost three-quarters.
The Sydney CBD and inner city is predicted to grow by 60 per cent.
In total, the Sydney metropolitan area will expand from 4.55 million in 2011 to 5.98
million in 2036, an increase of more than 30 per cent, the study says.
